MONTE CARLO, MONACO / ACCESSWIRE / July 25, 2022 / One28, the startup that incentivizes DJs to play music that evokes emotions and memories in partygoers, has announced the launch of its app at the MK Club Monte Carlo on June 10. The company, co-founded by CEO Adrien Crastes and CFO Alexandre Coyette, seeks to make it easier for listeners to hear their favorite songs at clubs, events, and other venues.

The name of the company, One28, refers to the strong emotions felt by an individual when they hear their favorite music in the right setting. The normal resting heart rate for adults falls between 60-100 beats per minute. 128 beats per minute is commonly experienced when a person feels adrenaline and pleasure, including when they hear a song they like in particular. It is the most commonly used bpm and one of the greatest hits. Crastes and Coyette created One28 to make it easier for a person to experience this peak at venues while DJs stay in charge of the music that is played.

"We had an awesome time debuting our app in Monte Carlo, which has a thriving community of DJs, clubs, and music lovers," says One28. "We loved hanging out with DJ Chris S and, through our app, helping him facilitate the song requests of attendees. We hope that we were able to make the night even more fun for everyone who was able to hear their favorite songs."

One28 says that at the launch, resident DJ Chris S set a minimum request price of 15€. Over fifty requests were made, of which he denied nearly half. The maximum bid for a request was 50€. The next day, DJ Chris S received more requests and continued using the app the following Friday and Saturday at the MK Club Monaco. He states that "One28 is a revelation for every DJ" and that he will use it at MK Club Monaco everytime he is mixing.

Since its debut at the MK Club, One28 apps have also been used at the Twiga Monte Carlo nightclub by DJ Magnum; by resident DJs in Corsica, Nice, Marseille, and Cannes; and at Maya Jah Monte Carlo, a top restaurant in Monaco.

"We are especially happy about Maya Jah because it showed us that our target audience is much wider than even we expected," One28 states. "While we had originally envisioned our app for nightclubs and bars with loud music, we have seen that it is suitable for restaurants, so this is a market we will be exploring."

The company is currently working to innovate its products to provide users with the best experience possible. The web app version of One28 will soon be released along with the macOS version of One28 DJ. One28 is also preparing to offer its services to artists.

One28 is excited about what its app is doing for both DJs and club goers. "For DJs, it is making it easier to read the mood of attendees and choose music that will appeal to them," the company says. "For listeners, they can now quickly request their favorite song and experience that rush we all feel when it starts. It is the best of both worlds for everyone and can make any party that much more satisfying."

One28 is bridging the gap between live music and the audience by offering the possibility for partygoers to hear the song that can take their heart rates up to 128bpm. DJs can accept or decline tipped, audience-fed song requests in the most optimal manner both for the DJ and the partygoer. The DJ ultimately keeps full control, and if they deny a song, they can leave a comment to the partygoer explaining why. In 2019, One28 presented their vision at the Monaco International Clubbing show (MICS), a highly attended nightlife event. One28 then expanded and began offering its app to DJs, and it is now transforming the club scene.
