OAKLAND, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 23, 2023 / DeepMedia AI, the pioneer in Large Media Models for content authenticity and accessibility, is proud to announce the hiring of Nikesh Kalra as Chief Business Officer. In this pivotal role, Kalra will spearhead commercial activities including sales, marketing, strategy, and finance.

"We are thrilled to welcome Nikesh to our executive team," says Rijul Gupta, co-founder and CEO of DeepMedia. "His expertise, experience, and energy will play a pivotal role in the company's ongoing expansion."

Prior to DeepMedia, Kalra was a corporate development advisor and investor in Silicon Valley, focused on early stage ventures. For over 25 years, he has worked with dozens of ventures through their journey from inception to exit. During this time, Nikesh also served in leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks and Equinix. He read at MIT, Oxford, and USC.

"On rare occasions, even in Silicon Valley, an entrepreneur and a venture are poised to truly transform the world with technology," says Kalra. "Upon meeting Rijul, co-founder Emma Brown, and the hardcore tech team, I knew DeepMedia and its AI technologies would have a significant impact on the media landscape, particularly in the era of exponential growth in content creation. I am excited to join and accelerate the business to its full potential."

The hiring of Kalra is part of DeepMedia's emergence from stealth in 2023. This year alone the company has been awarded several contracts for its DeepID service by the United States Department of Defense, specifically for deepfake detection in service of national security. DeepID is also in use at a variety of internet media platforms and SaaS providers. The DubSync AI translation service is being used by modern content creators on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and X, formerly known as Twitter.
