"AM Best has assigned a Financial Strength Rating of ‘A-' (Excellent) and a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of ‘A-' (Excellent) to FDMNY. The outlook assigned to these Credit Ratings (ratings) is stable," reported AM Best. "The ratings reflect FDMNY's balance sheet strength, which AM Best assesses as strong, as well as its adequate operating performance, limited business profile, and marginal enterprise risk management (ERM)."
AM Best is one of the world's oldest and most authoritative insurance rating organizations. The "A-" ratings indicate that FDMNY is fiscally sound and able to fulfill its financial obligations, and it has a stable outlook for the future.
