Space Announces New Line of Safes for 2024

MIAMI, FL / ACCESSWIRE / September 5, 2023 / SPACE, a manufacturer of digital smart safes, has announced the launch of its 2024 line of products. The company's flagship product, The Space Safe, is a state-of-the-art biometric smart safe. 2024 will see the premier of additional safe products with the newest and most technological upgrades.

Both the original and the new line of smart safes from SPACE were designed for a variety of consumers: individuals, businesses, financial institutions, short term rental (STR) properties, hotels, and more. One key aspect of the new design is geared toward the last categories. Privacy and security is integral for both hosts and travelers utilizing STRs. The Space Safe - both current and upcoming versions - has specific features that incorporate the needs of travelers.

The Space Safe offers an efficient self check-in system; and once a guest checks in and enters their unique code into the safe, the safe cannot be accessed by anyone but the guest; even the host won't have access. This offers guests a higher degree of privacy than they would enjoy with a traditional safe. Plus, guests would receive notifications from the safe for any activity that takes place. Using the touchscreen LCD on the safe, guests can set their own checkout dates through an intuitive user interface. Hosts receive a grace period of 24 hours to confirm or amend these dates before they're automatically accepted by the safe.

Using the mobile app from SPACE, STR hosts can manage multiple safe locations conveniently from The Space App. The Space Safe has a dedicated "Airbnb Mode" which can be shifted to "Normal Mode" in the event the host no longer wants to keep that safe in the STR, or if the host wants to relocate the safe to another STR.

Founder and CEO Oscar Hedaya, who has a background in product development, manufacturing, and sales, says that of all the smart home or safety technologies that have been released over the years, safes seem to have been left behind with no major innovations over nearly the last two decades.

He says that the features present in the current line will be improved for the new line, and anyone who currently owns a Space Safe will receive all of these enhancements with a software update. The safes all feature a 10" LCD touch screen display; tamper sensors to notify the owner if someone attempts to move the safe without authorization; interior and exterior cameras for live video footage; and the mobile app connectivity to notify the safe owner whenever anything happens with their safe. The Space Safe has a proprietary mobile app and OS, and 2024 will see new software updates for past and future safe owners.
