The action, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, asserts claims under §§10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (the "Exchange Act") on behalf of a Class consisting of all persons who purchased or otherwise acquired Trinseo securities between May 3, 2021 and March 27, 2023, inclusive (the "Class Period"), and who were damaged thereby (the "Class").

According to the complaint, throughout the Class Period. Defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) the Company's Bristol, Pennsylvania plant had a troubled safety record while under prior ownership and continued to be unsafe after the Company acquired it; (2) Defendants did not sufficiently disclose specific risks related to conducting operations at that plant; and (3) operating a chemical plant with an unsafe history and presently unsafe operations exposed the Company to a heightened risk of achemical spill or other adverse event, among other things.

When the truth about Trinseo's business reached the market, according to the Complaint, Trinseo's stock precipitously declined, thereby injuring investors.

Lead Plaintiff Deadline

The Lead Plaintiff deadline in this action is June 20, 2023. Any member of the proposed Class may seek to serve as Lead Plaintiff through counsel of their choice, or may choose to do nothing and remain a member of the proposed Class.
