Being totally deafblind means that in almost every aspect of their life these people are accompanied by someone else (guide, interpreter, assistant). Such depravity of privacy results from inability to communicate independently. 4Blind's solution is the world's first personal device for people with deafblindness, which allows them to speak in a synthesized voice and to "hear" the interlocutor's speech.

The small device breaks down barriers in communication and helps deaf-blind people to be more socially included. It also makes organizations and public institutions more accessible as it enables employees to interact directly with people who have speech, visual and hearing impairments. Ultimately, it also empowers those who are deafblind to have chance to participate in educational venues and expand their career potential.
