LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / January 19, 2023 / Yesterday the FCC released their Seventh Report and Order and Ninth Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on the 4.9 GHz spectrum. This rulemaking not only protects the spectrum for public safety use, but also lays the groundwork for the development of new 5G capabilities for public safety.
Once again this Commission, led by Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel, has shown their commitment and support of our nation's first responders. The Public Safety Spectrum Alliance (PSSA) commends them and thanks them for this support. The PSSA looks forward to working with the Commission as they work through the Ninth Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking and continue to collect more information on the use of the spectrum by public safety.
