Volunteer work has always been an essential part of the company's greater goals, and this year offered a few different opportunities for people to get involved locally.

The first event to kick off the Thanksgiving season was the 15th Annual Ending Homelessness Breakfast for the Lord's Place. More than 600 people in attendance celebrated success stories.
GL Homes once again served as a premier sponsor. The Lord‘s Place focuses on attempting to end homelessness for people throughout Palm Beach County. Raising money to create initiatives to do this makes a difference.
St. Matthew's House organized a food distribution opportunity called Hope for the Holidays. Many volunteer groups contributed in Naples, with GL Homes being part of the crew.
St. Matthew's House has been operating for over 30 years, serving Collier and Lee Counties. Six representatives from GL Homes made an appearance.
A few days later, there was a Thanksgiving Gratitude Event for the Legal Aid Society. This was an event hosted by GL Homes to honor and appreciate donors and the Board of Directors.
This took place to show support for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. Now in operation for over 70 years, the Legal Aid Society works towards giving equal access to everyone in the judicial system in Palm Beach County. It is a cause that this Florida-based company has supported in the past.
A holiday furniture donation for the St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity finished up the volunteering by the GL Homes team for the Thanksgiving season.
They donated $12,000 worth of office and home furniture to the local chapter to help out. People from the company helped put everything inside the Habitat for Humanity truck to get things rolling.
Everything will be sold at the ReStore for St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity with these donations. Once those sell, the money goes into programs and homebuilding for the non-profit.
