Mission MightyMe Gives Back All Holiday Season Long

Wednesday, 23 November 2022 08:00 AM

For second year in a row, MightyMe will match every order with a donation to food insecure families in need

ATLANTA, GA / ACCESSWIRE / November 23, 2022 / Just in time for Giving Tuesday, Mission MightyMe, the company on a mission to end the food allergy epidemic with delicious, pediatric allergist-developed nut butter puffs for babies and kids, is kicking off a one-for-one give back campaign for food insecure families.

Starting Tuesday, November 29, and lasting through December 31, for every pouch of nut butter puffs purchased on missionmightyme.com, Mission MightyMe will donate a pouch to Freestore Food Bank, a part of the Feeding America Network: the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to connect people with food and end hunger.

"We are proud to partner once again with Freestore Food Bank to help food insecure families have access to nutritious snacks and food allergy prevention," said Mission MightyMe co-founder JJ Jaxon. "Freestore Foodbank has a unique program that focuses on infant nutrition, and we love that this ongoing partnership is helping fulfill our dual missions of eliminating hunger and ending the food allergy epidemic, which currently affects one in 13 kids in the U.S."

Since launching its first product, Peanut Butter Puffs, in 2020, supporting food allergy prevention research and education, and supporting food insecure families, has been part of Mission MightyMe's company values. To date, the company has donated nearly 20,000 puff pouches to research and to organizations around the country serving families and children in need.

"We started Mission MightyMe to help solve a huge public health problem - the rising rates of food allergies," said Catherine Mitchell Jaxon, co-founder of Mission MightyMe and food allergy mom. "Our goal from the beginning has been to give back to prevention research and ensure that under-resourced families have access to food allergy prevention too. We are thrilled to partner with our amazing customers to match every single purchase with a donation to a family in need, and we hope they'll use this campaign as a timely reason to stock up on puffs for their pantry and make a real impact."

Mission MightyMe also announced Cyber Week deals, including 20% off Variety Packs for Small Business Saturday, and a $10 store credit for newsletter subscribers to spend in the MightyMe store through the holiday season.

Research has shown that in addition to early peanut introduction, eating peanut foods regularly and consistently is important when it comes to potential peanut allergy prevention, so MightyMe puffs are formulated to age up as a healthy, tasty, go-to snack for babies, big kids, and beyond. The science-backed snacks were developed with MightyMe co-founder and global food allergy prevention expert Dr. Gideon Lack, whose groundbreaking research (the LEAP and EAT Studies) changed feeding guidelines around the world to recommend early introduction of peanut and other common food allergens in infancy.

In 2022, Mission MightyMe expanded its product lineup with the introduction of three new flavors of its innovative baby-friendly puffs, all made with more than 50% nuts: Nut Butter Puffs, Peanut Butter Strawberry Puffs and Peanut Butter Banana Puffs. MightyMe Nut Butter Puffs are the first and only baby-friendly puffs to contain peanuts and multiple tree nuts (almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts) in sufficient quantities, making it simple for parents to include a wide variety of nuts in their children's diets early and often. Peanut Butter Strawberry Puffs and Peanut Butter Banana Puffs are the only quick-dissolve puffs made with peanut butter and real fruit - no"natural flavors," no artificial flavors, and no added sugar.

Versatile for any feeding stage after a baby starts solids, MightyMe puffs can be eaten on-the-go and stored in the convenient resealable pouch, softened with water and spoon-fed, or crumbled and mixed into any puree (depending on a child's developmental readiness). All products, including convenient Variety Packs in multiple flavor combinations, can be purchased in a case of four or five stand-up resealable pouches; $4.99 per pouch or $4.49 per pouch with subscription, available on missionmightyme.com and Amazon, with Prime shipping available. To help parents navigate the feeding journey with their little ones, Mission MightyMe offers an educational, easy-to-understand Early Allergen Introduction Guide and printable Early Introduction Checklist, available as a free online resource for all.

About Mission MightyMe
Mission MightyMe is the company on a mission to end the food allergy epidemic. With convenient, simple, tasty and nutritious science-backed snacks, Mission MightyMe empowers parents to follow the latest pediatric feeding recommendations for early allergen introduction and regular consumption. Four products - Peanut Butter Puffs, Peanut Butter Strawberry Puffs, Peanut Butter Banana Puffs and Nut Butter Puffs with peanuts and tree nuts - are now available.
