The veteran healthcare industry professional debuts a new online journal from which she will communicate her insights and ideas to the world.

CHESTER, PA / ACCESSWIRE / October 31, 2022 / It is with great enthusiasm that Theresa Pileggi, an acute adult care nurse practitioner, announces that she has launched a new blog, as well as written its inaugural entry. The subjects addressed by Theresa's web-based journal will primarily deal with healthcare and medical issues-topics with which she has a great deal of professional experience.

In the premiere blog entry, which is titled Theresa Pileggi Discusses Health and Nutrition: Changing Your Habits After a Spinal Cord Injury, Theresa outlines the best path to recovery for those who have been unfortunate enough to suffer damage to their spinal cords. In one important passage, she states a little-known fact about spinal cord injuries (SCI), writing that "people with SCI may also have trouble digesting food properly," before explaining that this "can lead to malnutrition and weight loss." In order to combat such effects, Theresa issues a few recommendations. "To help prevent these problems, eating a balanced diet with plenty of fiber and fluids is essential. Regular follow-up appointments with a healthcare provider can also help to ensure that any digestive problems are promptly addressed."

Theresa Pileggi then proceeds to extol the virtues of developing a strategy for those with SCI to meet their diet and nutrition objectives. "Having a plan helps to avoid impulse eating and makes it simpler to follow your diet. You should also ensure you include various foods in your diet. As mentioned earlier, this helps to guarantee that you're getting all the nutrients your body needs," she asserts, adding, "It's also essential to eat at regular intervals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going and avoid overeating later on. Last but not least, you must stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water helps to regulate your appetite, improve your digestion, and flush toxins out of your system."
