Depending on the circumstances, there are times in our lives when we have to step away from our work. Rejoining the workforce is not always easy, especially when taking a long break in the high-tech field. The Cadence Returnship Program provides a means for engineers to build a renewed career through relevant working experience and exposure to new technologies.

We recently interviewed Returnship Program alum Diana Kuai, who is now a lead application engineer at Cadence. Learn more about Diana's Journey to Returnship from first discovering the program to her transition back into high-tech.

The Returnship Program was started to re-engage parents, caretakers, and individuals that are ready to get back in the field after a break from the industry to parent, provide care, or serve in the military. Over the 16-week program, returnees familiarize themselves with new technologies, collaborate across teams, identify new innovations, and network with peers.
