New Integration Couples Datadog Observability with StormForge Machine Learning to Deliver Automatic, Actionable Insights for Kubernetes Application Optimization

Thursday, 15 September 2022 09:04 AM

StormForge empowers customers to transform observability insights into intelligent action that improves resource optimization, application performance and cost-efficiency

CAMBRIDGE, MA / ACCESSWIRE / September 15, 2022 / StormForge, the leader in cloud-native application performance testing and resource optimization, today announced it is integrating its StormForge Kubernetes optimization platform with Datadog's monitoring service for cloud-scale applications. The integrated service offering, which dramatically simplifies Kubernetes observability and accelerates actionable insights, is available now on Datadog and AWS Marketplace.

"We're excited to partner with StormForge," said Michael Gerstenhaber, VP of Product Management at Datadog. "By connecting Datadog's infrastructure observability data with StormForge's machine learning intelligence, customers can achieve greater Kubernetes resource optimization and confidence that their applications are operating at peak efficiency."

Datadog customers can deploy the StormForge platform in under one hour and begin receiving recommendations within a day. StormForge machine learning analyzes observability data and recommends resource settings (CPU, memory, replicas) for improved efficiency, scale and application performance. Datadog is leveraged as a unified platform to view and apply recommendations, and identify application parameters that should be recalibrated to reduce cluster size, and reclaim and reallocate resources for developers and projects. By providing the power of StormForge machine learning directly in context of the Datadog interface, users can realize greater value from data and applications without requiring Kubernetes optimization expertise.

"The Datadog / StormForge integration really brings the best of observability and machine learning worlds together for customers," said Amy Medeiros, SVP Marketing, StormForge. "Partnerships like this offer a smooth, data-driven path for customers to realize the full potential of cloud-native computing and Kubernetes through improved performance at scale and reduced resource waste."

The growing use of observability tools has resulted in exponential growth in data collection and insight, but knowing what actions to take based on that data isn't always clear. By combining Datadog's leading monitoring service for cloud-scale applications and StormForge's machine learning-based solution for cloud-native application performance and resource optimization, DevOps and business teams can optimize resource utilization, cost efficiency and application performance at any scale.
