Wednesday, 17 August 2022 08:00 AM

The CEO of Capitol City Residential Health Care sat down to discuss his life, his career, and his professional philosophy.

JACKSON, TN / ACCESSWIRE / August 17, 2022 / It is with great enthusiasm that John Weston, former financial executive and current CEO of Capitol City Residential Health Care, announces that he is the subject of a new, in-depth interview. The interview, which was conducted by a freelance journalist on behalf of an online periodical aimed at entrepreneurs and businesspeople, is scheduled to be published sometime in late June or early July of 2022.

Early in the piece, John is asked to describe a typical workday in his capacity as the chief executive of a care community for people with special needs, including intellectual and developmental disabilities. "I have to balance the business of Capitol City Residential Health Care along with providing services for the individuals we support," he responds, before elaborating, "Once I'm in the office, I go through the finances, any human resource issues, anything dealing with risk management, any marketing, and meet with various department heads. From there, I try to meet with at least one of the individuals we support. Everyone that works at Capitol City is required to work with the individuals we support because I never want anyone to lose sight of why we do what we do."

Further along in the interview, John Weston addresses a question about a trend in his line of business that gives him hope for the future, answering, "The trend that excites me is that serious light is finally being shone on mental health and individuals with special needs. In previous decades, people were ostracized for having a disability, but now there's more awareness about mental health and being aware that this person does what they do because they have a disability. That's exciting and relieving."

About John Weston:

Originally from Gary, Indiana, John Weston graduated from Ball State University in his home state with dual degrees in finance and insurance. Upon entering the working world, John earned his stockbroker certification and took a position with a well-established financial services company. After being promoted to a role specializing in stock option planning, the company made cutbacks, and he was presented with a decision to either go back to his old job or move to California to accept an offer with another company. Rather than embracing either of these options, John decided to team up with his sister and found a facility designed to house, support, and care for some of the most vulnerable people in society. Thus, Capitol City Residential Health Care was created.

John Weston is currently the CEO of Capitol City Residential Health Care, a care community for people with special needs, including intellectual and developmental disabilities. The stated mission of the community is to support the people under its care and assist them in finding opportunities to live their best lives possible, guided by the overarching philosophy that all individuals have the right to dignity and respect. Capitol City Residential Health Care prides itself on setting high standards to provide quality care and meet the unique needs of every individual it supports.
