SEOUL, KOREA / ACCESSWIRE / May 2, 2022 / LEMONCHAIN Ltd., a healthcare data blockchain company, has signed a business agreement today with Konyang University Hospital to develop a blockchain-based healthcare data network. With this agreement, LEMONCHAIN aims to decentralize medical records by creating an open data ecosystem that allows patients and healthcare providers to easily access the information they need when they need it. LEMONCHAIN is also on a mission to spread awareness about the managerial authority patients require when it comes to their medical records. Konyang University Hospital, founded in 2000, is the first general hospital in the central region of Korea to establish a differentiated strategy by introducing an automated clinical pathology system and computerized prescription program.
"By connecting the vast amount of daily medical data to the network node through the blockchain, we aim to create a system that allows medical staff to focus on treatment quickly and accurately. With the LEMONCHAIN ecosystem, patients will be able to receive better medical services and get the care they need as soon as they need it," stated Bae Jang-Ho, Director of the 'Healthcare Blockchain Network' (HBN) project.
The HBN project developed by these organizations will create a blockchain-based healthcare data network that connects individual healthcare institutions and patients within the LEMONCHAIN ecosystem using nodes. The system will be based on medical big data infrastructures (such as Electronic Medical Records, EMR, etc.) and is intended to be used as the leading blockchain smart healthcare model. Additionally, this project will minimize the amount of unnecessary face-to-face contact between patients and providers, lowering the risks for all parties involved in diagnosis and treatment.
