New Utah-based HR firm aims to reverse declining nationwide employee engagement rates
SANDY, UT / ACCESSWIRE / April 25, 2022 / According to a 2021 Gallup survey, only 36% of employees are engaged at work. This statistic may be unsurprising given the flood of employees who joined the Great Resignation. A 2022 article by Harvard Business Review reported that increasing resignation rates follow a trend perpetuated by burnout, low wages, and lack of work-life balance.
Driven by these and other factors, many employees have moved on to other companies. Employers must prove to new and continuing employees that they made the right choice. Because HR services impact employee engagement, many employers are turning to HR outsourcing to better recruit and retain employees.
Megastar HR, a new outsourcing and consulting firm in Sandy, Utah, aims to reverse the declining rates of employee engagement. Their mission is to exceed expectations as strategic partners, engagement champions, and proactive risk advisors, supporting companies through best-in-class recruitment, benefits, onboarding, and performance-development services.
"We feel fortunate to have Megastar HR strategically partnering with our hiring leaders to recruit top talent across North America," said Christopher von Jako, Ph.D., President & CEO of BrainsWay (NASDAQ:BWAY), an international medical device company headquartered outside of Boston, MA. "Their ‘megastar' team cost-effectively customizes talent acquisition, from sales to clinical engineering to marketing, finding success even in our tight labor market."
Beca Mark founded Megastar HR in October 2021 after years working in the HR industry, beginning as Benefits Administrator for Challenger School in 2004 after receiving her Master of Public Administration (MPA) with an emphasis in HR Management from Brigham Young University (Provo, UT), and most recently, as Vice President of HR for Brighton Hospice, also headquartered in Sandy.
"Beca was our Director of HR through two major acquisitions," said Kelvyn Cullimore, former CEO of Dynatronics (NASDAQ:DYNT) and current CEO of BioUtah. "As a key player on our M&A executive team, she exceptionally led HR due diligence, positioning us for success. With her HR team, she seamlessly navigated each company's cultural nuances through integration, quickly building rapport with leaders and employees through her proactive, open, and supportive communication style. I am certain she will show the same commitment and consideration for every one of her partners."
Megastar HR supports employers of all industries by scaling and supporting HR processes to give executives back their time. A 2016 report by The Alternative Board found that the average business owner spends 68.1% of their time dealing with day-to-day tasks and only 31.9% working on strategic planning and long-term goals.
"Leaders typically come into the office with a plan, but they are often derailed by time-sensitive HR issues," said Mark. "This not only sets them back, but over days and months of this, it sets the entire business back. We partner with leaders to strategically approach and fulfill HR functions so they can enjoy their time in and out of the office again. When leaders are engaged, employees also become more engaged, extending success to everyone."
Megastar HR's Grand Opening will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 28, 2022 at 4 p.m. at their office (9133 S Monroe Plaza Way, Ste C, Sandy, UT 84070). To learn more about Megastar HR, visit megastarhr.com.
