BOSTON, MA / ACCESSWIRE / March 30, 2022 / Entrepreneur and founding principal of Isalia Property Group, Marco Bitran, is pleased to announce that he has partnered with Madison Park and The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts on the development of an income-restricted affordable housing project. Given the high rents in many Urban environments, many families are struggling to afford the necessary accommodations they need to live comfortably. Marco works with a real estate development company that is striving to fulfill the diverse needs of its local community.
The building will be located at 86 Warren Street, Roxbury MA and will consist of 43 affordable family-sized rental apartments and 22 condominiums on an urban site at the current location of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts ("ULEM"). Consistent with Isalia's philosophy of development without displacement, ULEM will receive new offices in the new building, and will therefore remain in the same location. A total of 65 residential units will be available on floors 2-6, with 22 proposed parking spaces. The new ULEM offices will enhance ULEM's ability to deliver on its community programs.
According to Marco Bitran, "The top two floors are dedicated to the homeowner units, while floors 2-4 will be the allocated rental units. We will have a community room on the second floor alongside a management office and a central laundry room. Garbage disposal and a bike storage space will also be included on the ground level."
Isalia Property Group and Madison Park will also be making additional improvements to the surrounding area including adjacent infrastructure enhancements and sidewalk replacement. All parts of the project will be designed and constructed in accordance with the specifications of the MA Residential New Construction Program. Additionally, the LEED Green Building Rating System will be used as a guide in design, system selections, and construction. The project is currently going through the Article 80 zoning process in Boston.
"Our goal is to provide individuals and families a safe and affordable place to live. So many people are currently struggling to find basic necessities, our goal is to help reduce some of the financial stress that many are facing."
