The much-lauded dog breeder sat down with a freelance journalist to discuss her life, her career, and her professional philosophy.
SANTA FE, TX / ACCESSWIRE / March 24, 2022 / It is with great enthusiasm that celebrated Australian Labradoodle breeder Kim Kochman announces that she is the subject of a new, in-depth interview. The interview, which was conducted by a freelance journalist on behalf of an online periodical that concentrates on matters of health and wellness, touches on a wide variety of topics both personal and professional.
Early in the piece, asked what keeps her motivated to raise quality puppies, Kim replies, "Honestly, my business is a labor of love. It's not just about providing great dogs to people-it's about creating families, really. There are so many people that think they can't own a dog because of allergies or another medical issue they have, yet they are true dog lovers. Educating people that there is a breed that they can bring into their home and make it feel complete is a wonderful feeling. Seeing how much joy they have when they come to pick up their puppy is something I can't really describe."
Further along in the interview, Kim Kochman describes exactly how Manor Lake Australian Labradoodles has grown over its 18 year history. "We have always had a lot of family involvement in the company. My kids have really enjoyed getting out there and helping with the dogs whenever they can. I have extended family that helps out a lot, too," she says, clearly grateful, before adding proudly, "We started out as a small, local company. We are now internationally recognized as breeders for Australian Labradoodles. We've helped others establish their own breeding programs nationally and internationally."

About Kim Kochman:
Kim Kochman is a professional dog breeder originally based out of Washington state, and now in Texas, as well. A lifelong animal lover, she had always wanted to own a dog, however, family members with severe allergies prevented that from happening. After surviving a bout with breast cancer, Kim resolved to find a way to make her dream come true. She researched the subject and found not only that certain breeds of dog exist that don't trigger allergies, but also that her family's predicament was quite common. Kim Kochman began breeding Labradoodles-a hypoallergenic and asthma-friendly breed of dog-after realizing just how many families faced precisely the same problem as her own, feeling an intense desire to help them, and realizing that demand was such that she could support a business doing so. Since 2003, Manor Lake Labradoodles has raised even-tempered, non-shedding, allergy-friendly, multi-generation Australian Labradoodles, offering miniature, medium, and standard dogs that come in an assortment of colors. Many of Manor Lake's acclaimed puppies have grown up to assume roles as therapy animals and service dogs.
