ORM Leader Takes Unique, Full-Service Approach to Helping Clients Deal With Reputation Management Crises

SARASOTA, FL / ACCESSWIRE / March 25, 2022 / More than ever, online reputation matters for people in the public eye. From business owners to professional athletes, what people are saying online can make or break a career. Online reputation management services can do an excellent job at getting a career back on track, but the toll a reputation crisis takes on a person's mental health often requires special attention.

To help clients deal with the impacts of reputation crises, NetReputation.com, leaders and pioneers in online reputation management (ORM), has partnered with Oxygen Coaching-Reputation Repair, to provide an innovative dimension of support. Oxygen Coaching-Reputation Repair is a coaching service that helps clients get their confidence back with empathy, trigger identification, productive challenges, and the listening ear of a personal champion who works to see the goodness and promise in people who have been cut down by a setback.

Many people who seek reputation management services with NetReputation struggle with how to manage their personal lives amid a reputation crisis. NetReputation believes in supporting their clients through all aspects of reputation management, including their personal mental health. To address these needs, NetReputation created a unique partnership with Jennifer Cunningham of Oxygen Coaching-Reputation Repair to fully meet client needs.

Jennifer Cunningham, founder of Oxygen Coaching-Reputation Repair, is excited to work with clients who are going through the online reputation management process with NetReputation.

Cunningham recommends that those who find themselves needing online reputation management to reach out to professionals. "Reach out and don't try to manage this situation on your own. Talk to people, do research about how other people go through the situation, meditate, spend time in nature, talk to a counselor, talk to a coach. Get help. Don't try to go at it alone," recommends Cunningham.

Cunningham helps clients who are ready to move forward with their lives after a reputation crisis.

"For some people, it's that they know they did something wrong and they want redemption. They may have lost their job and they want to get back in the workforce, their relationships may have been impacted negatively, they may be experiencing health issues like trouble sleeping or using substances, they may be depressed," Cunningham says of her clients.

There are many stages in moving forward after a reputation crisis, and Cunningham works with those who are ready to get their lives back. According to Cunningham, "People who benefit most from working with me are ready to take action."

The founder's background as both a career counselor and someone who has been through a reputation management crisis helps her relate to her clients with compassion and understanding.

"Whatever they bring to the table-if they tell me they lost their job and they need to get back to work-we might be focused more on the career aspect, like building their resume and building communication techniques around talking about the issue. If it's impacting relationships, then we might talk about how to approach your friends and family and let them know how you're dealing with things and what you're doing to make it better," Cunningham says of her approach to help clients.

Coaching works to provide clients with tangible actions that they can take to move forward in life. For many, this provides a first step toward regaining control.

Of techniques used to help clients, Cunningham says, "I might assign some exercises or activities that help identify triggers and how to manage triggers a little bit better. It could be playing out in their health, and I would assess what they're doing health-wise-if they're drinking more, for instance, I might suggest ways to minimize that. Relaxation techniques to sleep better, etc. It really depends what issue they're bringing to the table."

Cunningham also states that many of her clients need reputation management due to the poor choices of someone else, which can result in anger that's difficult to manage. Cunningham says, "A lot of people want to work around the area of forgiveness. Maybe they're in this situation by no fault of their own, and a damaging thing happens to them and they're an innocent victim. They have to figure out how to get past their anger."

Of COVID's impact on her services, Cunningham says that more people than ever are finding themselves struggling to manage their online reputation-and struggling with the mental health issues that come with an online reputation program.

"More people are online, more people are on social media. There's that veil of distance when you're on social media versus a face-to-face conversation. There's a little bit of protection there so I think people are little more bold or don't really think about the impact their words have on other people," according to Cunningham.

Cunningham recommends that those who find themselves needing online reputation management reach out to professionals. "Reach out and don't try to manage this situation on your own. Talk to people, do research about how other people go through the situation, meditate, spend time in nature, talk to a counselor, talk to a coach. Get help. Don't try to go at it alone," recommends Cunningham.

Cunningham also recommends keeping perspective, and often shares a quote from author Bryan Stevenson with clients: "We're not the worst thing we've ever done or the worst thing that's ever happened to us."
