An Inspiration for a Scholarship Program
The thought of many students not having many opportunities when they cannot afford a college education is what inspired Becnel to start a scholarship program. Through the Damon Becnel Scholarship, he aims to provide hope for students in financial need.
To apply for the program, one must be a current undergraduate, graduate, doctoral student, or high school senior recently accepted in a higher education program. They must also provide some educational and personal details, as well as an answer for a 400-word essay with the question, "Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea that you previously held. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?"
All eligibility requirements and application packets must be received on or before July 31, 2022.
