And through the process of gazing into a candle, chanting whatever it is you're going to chant, or just a meditation; whatever it is you're doing, what you're doing is alchemizing that fear and doubt, and you're locking onto the vision of the reality you want, and feeling it until it locks into a place of peace."
Further along in the interview, E.A Koetting takes a moment to dispel some misguided notions that the public often makes about the occult and new age spiritualist community, extolling the virtues of the faith in areas such as self-control and personal determination. "I can't control everything. Magick is not about trying to control everything. But the things I can control are pretty fundamental. I can control how I show up. How I show up for the people I love, how I show up for work, how I show up for a conversation, how I show up for myself. Sometimes it takes a minute in the morning to get myself into the mind state to show up right-and sometimes I don't show up right, sometimes I don't show up at all-but that is the big thing I have definite power over: what I show up to, and how I show up, and then what I put my time and attention on. Those key fundamentals, right there, control your destiny."
