Digimax Calls for Fair Online Reviews

Monday, 15 November 2021 01:15 PM

LONDON, UK / ACCESSWIRE / November 15, 2021 / Marketing in the digital era is entirely dependent on the Internet and as they say, nothing disappears online. Digimax, an award winning dental marketing agency, understands this all too clearly. The agency specializes in dental and aesthetics providers and are setting their focus on protecting businesses' credibility by fighting against unfair negative Google reviews.

"Often people rush to Google to vent their frustration about a business, sometimes due to unrealistic expectations or complete malice. Many don't even get as far as transacting with a company. Still, they feel they have the right to leave harmful reviews without giving much thought to the long-term impact on the business, and more importantly, the people who work hard within that business. As a result, Google Reviews has become a dumping ground for fabricated, malicious and harmful reviews. All companies can do is fight this by publicly replying, but in many sectors such as dentistry, you cannot respond with too much detail as it would break confidentiality laws. " says Shaz Memon, Digimax Founder.

Digimax wants to represent industries that cannot fight fire with fire. A prestigious digital company, with Shaz Memon at the helm, Digimax wants Google to take more responsibility for the harm that negative Google reviews may have on any business's reputation. Digimax is now calling for Google to develop a department to escalate reviews where there is evidence of inaccuracies or bad intent. If a business owner flags a review as untrue, they should be given the opportunity to dispute it. If Google Reviews are to be credible, Google should have a system in place to protect the truth.

Being the world's biggest search engine, Google is easily accessible to everyone. While Google has in place effective algorithms to ensure that fake accounts and vulgar or baseless reviews are removed, there isn't anything to protect business owners from malicious customers operating through legitimate Google accounts.

Digimax believes this can create a more respectable and responsible culture for consumers.

"At the end of the day, we are all part of consumer culture and all customers need to be more mindful of how negative reviews can hurt small businesses that are already finding it hard to survive in today's post-pandemic landscape."
