Early in the piece, upon being asked why he chose a life in the priesthood, Father Francis replies,

"I felt compelled to serve God and to serve people from a very young age. It was just a natural calling for me. I wanted to do something that would have a real and genuine impact on others. There was never a moment for me that I thought of another path. Becoming a priest is a lifetime commitment to share the love of God with as many people as you can reach."

Later on in the interview, by means of answering a question about some beneficial habits he has cultivated over the course of his career, Father Francis Amoah explains the immense importance prayer plays in his life. "My prayer life is something that I take very seriously. I have the belief that everyone should have a healthy and consistent prayer life, no matter what religion they follow. Prayer is a way of calmly reflecting on your own life. It allows you the ability to examine what you believe in and how you conduct yourself. I find it such an important aspect of life that I make sure I give myself time for prayer every single day," he says, before adding an addendum to his answer. "Also, I have learned to let go of things. I don't hold on to anger, I do not allow the actions or inactions of others to affect my own actions. I try to stay positive."

Anyone interested in reading the full text of the interview is encouraged to keep watch for its publication in the coming few days, while anyone interested in learning more about Father Francis Aning Amoah is encouraged to visit his online journal.
