The Big Launch Of The NFT Collection That Will Sponsor More Than 250 Animals!

Friday, 08 October 2021 02:35 PM

TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / October 8 2021 / The newest digital craze sweeping the screens of people around the world today is the NFT. It's the acronym for a ‘Non-Fungible Token'. Assuming you don't know what that is, an NFT is a digital asset (anything from art, music, in-game items, and videos) that is much like cryptocurrency, in the sense that it holds its own inherent value and shares similarities in the way they're programmed.

That's where the similarities end, however. The term ‘non-fungible' refers to something that cannot be replaced, replicated, or traded with another identical item of equal value. You can trade a bitcoin for another bitcoin and have the same amount. NFTs on the other hand, are like works of art, irreplaceable with only one original. It follows then, that to produce your own NFT collection is to produce your own digital artwork.

Such an initiative is being taken by famous instagrammer ‘The Real Tarzann' who is an avid animal lover, conservationist, activist, and social media superstar. The primary aim of this NFT is to spread awareness that animals should be loved and cared for. The NFT is going to sponsor over 250+ animals which is going to change the lives of those animals forever. This is an open invite to make a contribution for a good cause and help animals live a better life.

Mike Holston has famously opposed poaching most of his life, taken in and cared for wild animals (which he still does to this day), and hosted live online segments to discuss animals and the ecosystem. Now, with the launch of his own Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collection, he hopes to prove that digital assets can be used to make a tangible change in the real world.

To that end, the world is going to witness the release of a 5,500-piece NFT collection for use in a decentralized strategy game set to launch on Sunday, 3pm EST, called Tribes of Ogun.

Tribes of Ogun is based on the blockchain and draws inspiration from 3,000-year-old African folklore. In the game, NFT collectors are given the quest to fulfill the ancient prophecy ordained by Ogun, the ancient Yobura God of War. It is a primeval decree which foretells of the Great Block Wars - the ultimate battle for control of Yoburaland - a plush kingdom filled with unimaginable riches.

The gameplay mechanics are straightforward: Each randomly generated NFT will spawn as a member of one of the five Tribes of Ogun. Each member of a tribe sports the same base war helmet - made from their representative animal - and is said to act as a mechanism for the transference of their mighty powers. Distinguishing factors within particular tribes - such as helmet colors and details, war paint, warrior ranking, weaponry, and physique - are made available in varying degrees of scarcity. Each Tribe also serves one queen, a 1/1 piece included within each of the five tribes.

Players are to channel their inner-animal and join one of five animalistic tribes, from the stealthy Black Panther to the majestic Black Cockatoo, and do battle with other rival tribes. The goal of each tribe is to amass the largest collection of companion NFTs representing each of the five elemental categories (Fire, Water, Earth, Iron, Heart). Each elemental battle will focus on a particular set of element NFTs, and will last 7-days. At the completion of each 7-day period, prizes will be awarded, and new element NFTs will be released, restarting the war.

As we all know, for every war, there are spoils to be gained, and it's no different for Tribes of Ogun. Owners of winning tribes gain 10% of the revenue from the war, while 90% is split evenly amongst all winning tribe NFT holders. Each member of the winning tribe will also be eligible to win real-life prize packages, such as all-expense-paid trips to exotic locations, or a meet and greet slash exciting and informative wildlife experience with Mike Holston himself. On top of that, NFT holders will actually be sponsoring over 250+ animals through their purchase of NFTs and participation in the game, proving that just about anyone can make an impact in animal conservation.

The Tribes of Ogun NFT collection drops this coming Sunday, 3pm EST. It's the perfect game for any animal lovers or Mike Holston lovers who are in the market for a fun way to support wildlife and make a pretty penny at the same time.
