In a recent blog posted on ashgujral.com, GCF founder Ashok Gujral provides insight on building successful nonprofit organizations.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / September 30, 2021 / Since its inception, the Gujral Community Fund has been highly successful in providing assistance and support to families in the community, particularly those with young, developing children. Ashok Gujral grew up in San Francisco, and knows first hand what kind of challenges can face people trying to live, work and raise a family. That was the motivation behind his founding of the Gujral Community Fund, but after his nonprofit was founded, Ashok learned many helpful tips along the way to making the foundation successful.
In a recent blog featured on Ashok Gujral's website, many helpful and insightful pieces of information are shared about how one can use strategic planning to their advantage when starting a nonprofit. Some of the main points touched on in the blog include engaging in an overall strategic analysis of political, social, environmental aspects of the environment where a nonprofit may be of help. Doing so, according to Mr. Gujral, is a good way to "observe the multitude of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that are pertinent to the organization."
Additional insight is provided concerning what to do once a strategic plan is put in place. Ashok advises that once a nonprofit team has their general plan in place, a good next step is to set goals that are "worded in a manner that is specific, measurable, and acceptable to the personnel aiming to attain them, while also finalizing a timeline that is realistic and gives the workers a chance to utilize their full capabilities." Doing so will help the entire tea remain on the same page while engaging in the plan of action designed to establish and maintain the viability of the nonprofit.
Along with providing helpful information about creating a successful nonprofit, Ashok Gujral continues to work to find more charitable partnerships that can extend the reach and positive impact of the Gujral Community Fund.
