TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / September 16, 2021 / Mogul Productions, a global non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace and decentralized finance (DeFi) platform for film and entertainment, launched a major NFT drop to coincide with the official launch of its NFT marketplace today, September 16th.

Mogul's NFT Marketplace specializes in partnering with movies, creators, and intellectual property owners from the film & entertainment industries and issuing the primary market sales of these NFTs exclusively through Mogul's platform. The marketplace model is community-oriented, where Mogul's native token holders (STARS) benefit from the success of the NFT drops; they can stake tokens to earn fees generated by the platform.

Mogul's community-based and customer service oriented model contrasts other NFT platforms like Opensea, who did a record $3.4 billion in transaction volume on Ethereum in August, who offer a more self-serve model for a wider variety of NFT sales. Mogul is focused on curating unique opportunities that intersect blockchain and entertainment.

The first drop, The Reboot Camp Collection, features 11 one-of-a-kind NFTs. The NFT series was created in collaboration with the production team of Reboot Camp, Mogul's latest film partnership. The NFTs include digitally-signed collectables like props, deleted scenes, and paintings. Also being minted are 25 digitally signed NFT movie posters, each including a personalized screener of the movie customized by the lead actor and director. This is the first time that a movie has ever issued their deleted scenes as NFTs. These scenes do not exist other than as NFTs that will be owned by the purchasers.

This NFT event has Mogul partnering with a diverse range of talented artists and performers, including Ja Rule (Rapper/Actor), David Koechner (The Office), Nicole Aniston (adult film star), Chaz Bono (American Horror Story), David Lipper (Full House), and Jessica Belkin (American Horror Story). The marketplace gives movie fans a chance to engage with filmmakers and their favorite projects in deeper, more meaningful ways. Movie buffs will be able to purchase everything from artwork to film footage to experiences, all in the form of NFTs.

"Some of the funniest moments we shot for the film were left out in the final edits and it's rare as a filmmaker that those moments don't make it into the end product. As artists, we are thrilled that we got to include them in the NFT drop." said David Lipper, Lead Actor and Producer of Reboot Camp.

Lisa Sun, Founder and President of Mogul Productions added: "We're so excited to launch our NFT marketplace, and we felt it was the perfect opportunity to collaborate with some truly amazing talents on this unique collection of 1/1 digital artworks, giving film fans just a taste of what's to come."
