TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / August 25, 2021 / Recent times have shown us how important getting help for people in need is. Unfortunately, coronavirus has made moving around and assisting others a challenging task. The efforts volunteers put into not only helping local communities but abroad as well is so important. Iglesia Ni Cristo is committed to continuing its relief efforts regardless of the obstacles the pandemic presents and staying focused as the COVID-19 pandemic carries on. Their help is essential, as those with limited resources depend on their aid to help them survive. Here are three ways they continue to help during this pandemic.

Iglesia Ni Cristo Launched My Countrymen, My Brethren

Iglesia Ni Cristo has been an integral part of assisting and providing support to its local community. Recently they launched a program called My Countrymen, My Brethren. The purpose of the program is to offer spiritual guidance and mental assistance to those in need. This program has allowed them to reach people both locally and in other countries and locations. The ability to help those abroad has allowed them to expand the network of help they can offer and be a solid, uplifting presence for a broader range of people.

Iglesia Ni Cristo Passed Out Goodie Bags Locally

COVID-19 has changed the way we typically operate and conduct our volunteer efforts. The pandemic has caused many people to miss out on work and to lose income. Iglesia Ni Cristo has stepped up and worked to pass out goodie bags to those in need. Those bags contained items such as rice, canned food, and even coffee. They want to ensure that, even during difficult times, no one will go without these important staples and that no person should go hungry.

Iglesia Ni Cristo Started Aid to Humanity

The ability to help out locally is a tremendous help, but locals are not the only people that need help. As an organization, you do your best to help out your fellow man. Iglesia Ni Cristo has taken the help they normally provide and expanded it to 300,000 people located in over 220 sites in areas from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, through a program called Aid to Humanity. This type of program allowed them to provide food, shelter, and necessities to many people across many borders, even during the height of the pandemic.

Iglesia Ni Cristo has continued its mission of volunteering and providing spiritual support even through the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the challenges they have faced, they proved to be up to the task of being a solid support for those who need it and helping people survive in difficult times. The combination of giving essential goods and spiritual support has gone a long way to bringing comfort to those less fortunate and helping maintain our humanity during tough times.
