NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / August 18, 2021 / This rapidly growing agency is designing solutions for Community, Songtrust, and more. Building a full-service design agency of their own wasn't originally the plan. But when the opportunity came, friends and design experts Alejandro Corpus and Liz Yam dropped everything to seize it. Now, with Keithcity Group, they are leading a new kind of design agency-one that has become as engaging as the brand giants on its roster.

Alejandro and Liz first met while working together at award-winning (and somewhat infamous) brand design and development firm Peter Arnell Agency. There, Alejandro served for several years as a Brand Consultant & Motion Designer. Liz also spent years as the Head of Digital Products, managing UX/UI designers, and managing client relations while reporting directly to Arnell, a notoriously demanding boss. Both Alejandro and Liz agree that their experiences at the agency played an important role in their growth and ability to handle difficult projects as well as people.
Alejandro and Liz shared the desire to thrive in a business environment that reflected their values of creativity and inclusivity. That's why, when Alejandro decided to bid for the opportunity to work on the text-based platform called Community, his first call was to Liz to ask if she would help with the proposal. Liz says, "Once we won that bid, it was straight off to the races."
What started as a single project quickly grew into a New York City-based design agency led by a team as diverse as its range of clients. Alejandro, as Creative Director, oversees creative production, art direction, and client relations while Liz, as Head of Strategy, focuses on content development, strategic ideation, and managing the team.
"We're able to establish our own tone, pace, and vibe," Liz says. "It's important for us to hone in on our team member's individual skill sets and interests so that we can delegate tasks accordingly to set ourselves up for success. That's essential for what we want to build."
As Keithcity Group's client list has expanded, so has the team. But Alejandro and Liz insist that they are building out the business with intention. "We're an agile team that offers multifaceted and personalized design solutions," Alejandro says. "We are able to integrate into our clients' existing workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop effective plans for our clients' futures."
Keithcity Group is grounded in the belief that strategic multi-platform solutions are key to building iconic brands. The agency specializes in seamlessly combining solutions for design needs that range from art direction and branding to advertising and product design. This holistic capability helps Keithcity Group build accessible, engaging, and forward-thinking creative that sets its clients apart.
Currently, Keithcity Group is the agency of record (AOR) for Community, a text-message marketing company that has attracted the likes of Saweetie, Stacey Abrams, and Williams Sonoma as clients. "We do all of Community's social strategy, ideation, and content production," Alejandro says. "That means we have the opportunity to ideate, develop, and produce campaigns for a wide variety of brands, people, and enterprise businesses. We're very proud of that."
In addition to Community, Keithcity Group is the direct in-house producer and content creator for Bill Nye. The beloved scientist, who currently has seven million followers on TikTok alone, has recently attracted buzz for his burgeoning social presence in outlets like The New York Times. "We produce content for Bill's TikTok and his other social channels," Alejandro explains. "It's an intriguing variety of work that we get to do for him." Keithcity Group also manages content creation for the scientist's brand partnerships with companies such as Chipotle and Bombay Sapphire Gin.
Recently, the agency announced via Deadline that it has been tapped by Academy award-winning American History X director Tony Kaye to produce animated sequences for his upcoming film Tremendum. The film, set to be released this fall, is inspired by Kaye's conversations with Marlon Brando from the late '90s through the early 2000s. Kaye says, "Keithcity Group understood immediately what I was trying to achieve, and I hope this is the first of many projects that we can do together."
Keithcity Group has also worked with industry-leading clients such as Songtrust, Cameo, and Visionary Music Group. As Alejandro and Liz look to the future for Keithcity Group, they say they are most excited to continue growing while shaking up what's expected from a traditional design agency. "We're a mixed bag of creative professionals," Alejandro says. "We're looking forward to leveling-up every chance we get."
