ZUG, SWITZERLAND / ACCESSWIRE / June 2, 2021 / The Occam Association is pleased to announce the release of THEOS, a mission-driven non-fungible token minting (NFT) platform incubated by the Occelerator (Occam accelerator) program and led by Virgin Galactic Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Alex Tai.
THEOS is a carbon-neutral, decentralised ecosystem design that is set to accommodate the demands of the emerging NFT ‘hyper-economy'. The hyper-economy, as the THEOS whitepaper defines, is an ecosystem which builds upon the availability of global instant liquidity for assets of any type; as well as the provision of transparent and complete information for every market participant. From an economic viewpoint, NFTs are the integral building blocks upon which the world's new and inclusive financial operating system will be built. THEOS envisage a world where an NFT is just as likely to serve as a mortgage contract for a previously unbanked family in South America, as it is to represent a digital art work auctioned at Christie's.
To meet this growing demand, THEOS are building the world's first NFT marketplace focused on empowering the global community through key mission-driven focus areas. As Cardano is currently the leading candidate for a true social and financial blockchain operating system, the THEOS team will initially explore Cardano's potential as the smart contract platform of choice. This planned transition will begin as and when components become available through the Alonzo hard fork; scheduled for Q2 2021.
