Professional healthcare executive Dr. Alexander Everest sat down to discuss the niche he serves in helping foreign physicians navigate through the US healthcare system.
TARZANA, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 25, 2021 / It is with much enthusiasm that veteran healthcare executive Dr. Alexander Everest announces that he is the subject of a new, exclusive interview. The interview, which was conducted by journalist Carlyn Runnels on behalf of an online periodical that concentrates on matters relating to business and entrepreneurship, was published on May 13, 2021.
Early on in the interview, addressing a question about why he chose the career path he did, Dr. Everest responds, "There's a demand and a need for our business. Foreign physicians may have passed all their exams but when they come to the US, they are forced to do things like driving taxis because they can't break through the bureaucracy to get to their boards." He elaborates, "We go to hospitals and healthcare centers and we lobby for them. We create educational experiences where we can have our physicians come in and prove themselves that they're up to par, or if they're not up to par, we create educational experiences that get them up to par so they can join the American healthcare system."
Upon being asked about his typical workday, Dr. Everest replies by citing an example of a case he's currently working on involving a young, soft-spoken medical professional trying to find a foothold in the US healthcare system. "He has top honors, top GPA, graduated magna cum laude, but he was unable to navigate through medical school," he explains, adding, "I feel like on paper he's stellar, but when he presents himself, people probably just write him off. We're giving him coaching and training and he's on track to success. He's more than just a piece of paper, now."

About Dr. Alexander Everest:
Dr. Alexander Everest is a healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience in key positions in the healthcare industry. He began his career as a student at the Veteran's Affairs (VA) Medical Center, all the while learning the finer points of healthcare administration from his late father, Dr. Edwin Everest. Following four years spent at the VA, Dr. Everest joined his father's firm, West Coast Healthcare Consultants, simultaneously studying toward earning a Ph.D. in Healthcare and Business Administration. He earned his doctorate in 2014 and then proceeded to join his father's firm full time.
In the course of their business, Dr. Everest and his father noticed a recurring problem of healthcare professionals from overseas facing significant roadblocks in becoming licensed to practice medicine in the United States, whether it be through preparedness or discrimination in the residency placement process. After his father passed away in 2008, Dr. Alexander Everest took control of the business and developed it into ResidenceMatch.com, a sophisticated website that provides consulting services to aspiring physicians who need help navigating the complex medical residency process in the US.
Pursuant to his ongoing passion for higher learning, Dr. Alexander Everest is currently studying to earn a Doctorate in Theology and Biblical Studies. He also volunteers with the charitable organization Children of the Night, which helps to rescue young girls and boys from sex trafficking.
