WHITE PLAINS, NY / ACCESSWIRE / April 27, 2021 / It is with great enthusiasm that school-based non-profit organization Today's Students, Tomorrow's Teachers announces that it has booked Dr. Shawn Joseph to discuss his recently published memoir Finding the Joseph Within: Lessons Learned Through a Life of Struggle. The presentation, entitled "Leadership Lessons From Joseph," will take place on April 28, 2021 from 3 - 4:30pm ET, during which time the author and veteran educational administrator will read excerpts from his book before answering questions from the audience and leading an open conversation about the lessons and themes at play in the text.

A story of faith and perseverance, Dr. Shawn Joseph's memoir tells the story of how he overcame numerous challenges through childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, and manhood to eventually become the first African American school superintendent in the city of Nashville, Tennessee before transitioning to a faculty position at prestigious Fordham University. An inspirational tale at its core, Dr. Shawn Joseph's life story will no doubt resonate with readers from all walks of life, but particularly those who seek leadership roles in the field of educational administration, and especially students of color, as well as those who do not come from privileged backgrounds.
