Tuesday, 20 April 2021 09:00 AM

FALLS CHURCH, VA / ACCESSWIRE / April 20, 2021 / GTL, a trusted partner that connects those affected by incarceration with the resources and support necessary to achieve success, today announced its upcoming sponsorship and participation at the 4th Technology in Corrections (TIC) Conference. This year's virtual conference, which takes place April 28-30, will focus on the theme of "Disrupting Corrections" and is hosted by the International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) and the European Organisation of Prison and Correctional Services (EuroPris).

The 2021 conference will focus on disruptive technologies, which are innovations that significantly alter the way that a business or industry operates. Public and private sector individuals will reflect on the use of disruptive technologies and how they impact corrections, including changing the way in which agencies work and the influence on those in their care.

This international event features experts from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences in technology and corrections practice. As an active member of ICPA, GTL has long participated in both the TIC and annual ICPA conferences, discussing the creation, development, and implementation of correctional technology solutions.

"Virtual conferences are certainly here to stay, and we are looking forward to sharing our experiences and innovations with correctional agencies around the world," said Gad Tobaly, President, GTL International. "By going virtual, EuroPris and ICPA are providing the opportunity for anyone anywhere in the world to easily attend the conference, participate in workshops, visit showrooms, and attend panel sessions. There will always be something up and running at the conference no matter your time zone around the globe. This well-organized event is now open to more people than ever before."

Mr. Tobaly and senior executives from GTL will introduce conference attendees to the company's innovative technologies through a virtual showroom. GTL's showroom will be active throughout the conference, where attendees can run pre-recorded short presentations, choose a session from a menu of live demonstrations, meet with a GTL representative one-on-one, or simply download one of the many digital materials available. In addition, GTL will participate in two high-profile sessions at the conference.

Gad Tobaly, President of GTL International, will participate in the Armchair Discussion-"The CEO View of Disrupted Technology in Corrections." This panel discussion will take place on Wednesday, April 28 at 11:15 a.m. U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST), right after the Keynote address, which opens the conference.

Christopher Ditto, GTL Vice President of Research and Development, will present on "Artificial Intelligence (AI)" on Wednesday, April 28 at 1:45 p.m. U.S. EST, discussing how real-world machine learning innovations involving photo, video, text, and metadata have shown success in correctional settings and provided benefits to all corrections stakeholders-facilities, incarcerated individuals, and family and friends.

"Our mission is to provide technology that helps facilities reduce recidivism, enable rehabilitation, and improve reintegration," concluded Mr. Tobaly. "Through this conference, we can collaborate with, gain knowledge from, and work together with organizations and agencies across the globe to better the corrections experience for all."
