Patients pay only $50 per month/per medication, and there are no enrollment fees, shipping fees, or other costs of any kind.

STUART, FL / ACCESSWIRE / March 22, 2021 / As part of its commitment to educate and empower patients, Prescription Hope, one of the largest patient assistance program (PAP) administrators in the U.S., is highlighting how its patient-friendly medication management service works.

Patients who rely on Prescription Hope to facilitate their enrollment in one or more PAPs - which are offered by multiple U.S.-based pharmaceutical manufacturers and designed to help financially challenged patients reduce their prescription medication costs - will have their prescription medication(s) shipped directly to their home (or healthcare provider's office) by the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Patients simply provide Prescription Hope's Patient Advocates with their basic details (e.g., contact information, medication information, healthcare provider information, etc.) and find out within 48 hours if they qualify for enrollment in one or multiple PAPs. Once enrolled, Prescription Hope charges a flat, predictable fee of $50 per medication per month. There are no enrollment fees, no shipping fees, and no additional costs of any kind.

"We currently have access to over 1,500 brand-name medications, and more are constantly being added," commented Douglas Pierce, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Prescription Hope. "What's more, some patients are currently paying more than $50 a month for generic medications. If they are eligible for enrollment in a PAP - which is something that our trained and friendly Patient Advocates research on their behalf - they can switch to the brand-name equivalent and instantly start saving money."

As for fulfillment, the method of delivery is determined by each respective pharmaceutical manufacturer. For example, medications that need to be consistently stored at low temperatures - which is typically the case with injectables - are shipped on dry ice. And in terms of frequency, patients who partner with Prescription Hope can expect to receive their initial fill within 4-6 weeks. After that, they will receive monthly refills before the previous allotment runs out.

"It is also worth noting that patients are in full control as to which medications they want us to help them receive through a PAP, and which medications they want to continue purchasing on their own because they cost less than $50 per month," commented Douglas Pierce, whose company recently opened a new 30,000 square foot headquarters in Stuart, Florida where it is creating quality long-term jobs in the local community. "Family members, as well as patients who have health insurance or receive Medicare, can also use our service - which means even more savings."
