In the wide-ranging interview, Eduard Shapshovich discussed insights on what inspired him to become a real estate investor, how he brings ideas to life, and what makes him productive. With respect to this latter aspect of his life and personality, he credits a trait shared with many other highly successful professionals: a relentless work ethic.

"I won't stop until the job is done," commented Eduard Shapshovich, who, prior to becoming a real estate investor, was a city planner. "If I know there is something in front of me, and more coming tomorrow after that, I don't leave what is in front of me for tomorrow or the next day. I try to finish it as soon as I can."

Elsewhere in the fascinating interview, Eduard Shapshovich explained why he doesn't pay too much attention to trends (he believes that having a positive attitude is more important), why he isn't afraid of risks or going against the grain ("I'm fearless" he boldly declares), the most important business book he's ever read ("How to Sell Anything to Anybody" by Joe Girard), and what advice he would give his younger self (start now).

"I should have started working for myself 20 years earlier," reflected Eduard Shapshovich. "Like I tell everybody, knowledge is power…It's a lot easier these days to get the knowledge than it was when I was younger, 20 to 30 years ago, we didn't really have cell phones or the internet. Now everything you need is at your fingertips. I only wish I had started even sooner."

In addition, Eduard Shapshovich shared some wisdom that can be lost on some ambitious entrepreneurs and business owners who are focusing on achievement and success: make sure that you build strong relationships along the way to the top, or you will never get there.

"Having a solid friendship and working relationship with my partner has helped us to grow this business," commented Eduard Shapshovich. "We get along as friends and business partners. We know we are all in this together, and we rely on each other's strengths."

On a more lighthearted note, when asked about the best $100 that he recently spent, Eduard Shapshovich was quick - and delighted - to answer: he spent it on his daughter.

"I have a beautiful daughter whose birthday is coming up," commented Eduard Shapshovich. "I spoil her and buy her whatever she wants. I'll tell her, `Let's go shopping,' and she can pick out what she wants. It makes me happier inside than spending on myself. I am always happy when she is happy."
