Once issued, the medical marijuana card will be valid for a period of one year. The cards are not available for every type of ailment, however. There is a specific list of diagnoses that the law will allow to be treated via medical marijuana. Dr. Dugar is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician. He has been in practice for the last 10 years and has seen first-hand, the damage the opioid epidemic created.
