She could not pinpoint one specific success as being her most memorable or meaningful. "Honestly, I've never really thought about it. I always have my hands in different baskets of goals I want to accomplish. When I finally achieve them, I check them off one by one and celebrate to myself!" Describing her career as merely having her hands in different baskets is a very modest description of the work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit Marie Blanchard possesses. With all the businesses and fields of work she has been involved in, it's no wonder Marie has such a hard time deciding on one shining achievement to place above them all.
Marie Blanchard was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, and moved to the United States in 1996 when she was just ten years old. Living in cities up and down the East coast for many years, she finally settled in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City in 2016. After years of not knowing where she would be the next day, Blanchard had to focus on what she wanted from her life truly. "Honestly, I had to re-evaluate my life and figure out where I wanted to be 5, 10, 20 years down the line. Eventually, I had to do a full lifestyle transformation," Blanchard recalls.
As an entrepreneur, there does not seem to be any career field or goal that Blanchard cannot successfully pursue. While working tirelessly as a model and professional bodybuilder, Blanchard also works as a fitness, health, and lifestyle coach. "In terms of being a Health and Fitness coach, I allow my work to speak for itself; [clients] come to me willingly," Blanchard stated. Along with this work, Marie Blanchard is also an author by way of her recipe book for healthy eating, known as Dieting Deliciously.
The New York entrepreneur has seemingly built a business empire around her desire to advocate for proper health and fitness. Blanchard's work has felt her leaving immensely fulfilled and rewarded: she can help others achieve physical, nutritional, and psychological goals they set for themselves. The fulfillment she receives is quite possibly her favorite part of owning her own business, and Blanchard wants young entrepreneurs to know they can succeed as well. "I believe that being an entrepreneur involves being resilient and consistent. In terms of growing and maintaining a sustainable brand, it is important first to learn who your audience is," Blanchard shares. She continues, "It involves not being afraid to take risks that others may find uncomfortable."
Marie's most recent business endeavor, which she is working on simultaneously to her current lines of work, is her Designer Bag Exchange. She describes it as "a platform that connects buyers and sellers globally involving luxury/designer bags and accessories for men and women." All of Blanchard's work, she has been able to complete has been inspired by those who find success after overcoming personal turmoil. Those who work in silence as they spend sleepless nights striving towards achieving a dream. Those who went from sleeping in their cars to running their own company. These are the people who inspired Marie Blanchard to keep at her hustle and never lose her drive for success.
