SHATIN, HONG KONG, and LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 23, 2020 / Newchic, a fashion brand determined to disrupt the fast fashion industry by celebrating and highlighting the importance of individuality, accessibility, and socially conscious apparel, hosts its final round of judgment in Los Angeles this week for the Newchic 2020 Designer Contest. Newchic will announce the top three winners on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020.
The contest judges, celebrity fashion designer Ashton Hirota and FIDM professor Paula Franc, will make the ultimate decision in person this Saturday, where the quarantined designs will be modeled and showcased in a photoshoot.

Since its founding in 2014, Newchic has committed to discovering new fashion trends and exploring styles that combine art through independent design. Launched on Sept. 14, 2020, this year's Newchic Designer Contest was opened to a wide-reaching community of emerging and passionate designers from every corner of the globe.
The top 10 accepted finalists were asked to handcraft and ship their designs to Los Angeles and participate in live interviews with Mansour Mozafari and Rebecca Bravo on Instagram Live last weekend which garnered over 57,000 views. The semi-finalists, listed below in alphabetical order, demonstrated remarkable creativity and commitment to creating clothes that express individual values, style, and socially conscious elements.
