Lion drew inspiration for The Seventh Spark series from a game invented by his two sons, which centers around three different societies as they attempt to outmaneuver one another for control of the universe. The Seventh Spark is the culmination of over 15 years of work, and he credits his family for helping to launch his career as a writer.
In 2018, Lion initially released a book titled The Wall: Guardian's Redemption. In this release, readers follow Joey Gunns, an ex-U.N. Special Forces mercenary as he reluctantly accepts an assignment to work for the President of the United States. After a series of unexpected mishaps, Gunns is forced to choose between his friends, his conscience, and his ambitions.
