HAWKEYE Gold & Diamond Inc.

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / August 15, 2019 / HAWKEYE Gold & Diamond Inc. (the “Company” or “HAWKEYE") (TSXV:HAWK)(Frankfurt Ticker: HGT; ISIN: CA42016R3027; WKN: A12A61): is pleased to announce that HAWKEYE has commenced its ground-based Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical surveys over the Company’s McBride Project in the Golden Triangle of northwest BC.

The recently announced survey (news release No. 318 - 2019) will cover 15 line-km encompassing two airborne magnetic anomalies coincident with a 2 km long Cu-Au geochemical trend with samples reporting up to 5.18 g/t Au and 1.89% Cu and an annular-shaped magnetic high commonly associated with intrusion-hosted Cu-Au porphyry deposits.

The geophysical survey is being performed by Dias Geophysical Ltd. using the DIAS32 system, which will provide both 2D and 3D data sets designed to outline resistivity and chargeability anomalies at depths of over 750 metres.

High priority geophysical anomalies interpreted from the survey will be tested by diamond drilling up to 3,000 metres later in 2019.

Mr. Greg Neeld, President & CEO of the Company states, “HAWKEYE’s previous programs at McBride identified targets warranting follow-up exploration for deep-seated porphyry-style deposits. HAWKEYE is excited to commence its ground geophysics with the ultimate goal of drill testing the highest priority anomalies in late 2019. The Company is well positioned in the Golden Triangle, with two of the world’s largest miners recently making significant investments.”
