Company Update

Santa Clara County recently placed an order for four "Powered by ADOMANI®" all-electric cargo vans to add to their fleet of maintenance vehicles.

CORONA, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 14, 2019 / ADOMANI, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADOM), a provider of advanced zero-emission and hybrid vehicle drivetrain solutions and purpose-built electric vehicles, announced today its first orders for zero-emission all-electric cargo vans from the County of Santa Clara, California. The cargo vans are part of Santa Clara County's plan for growing an all-electric vehicle fleet that provides services to county facilities and residents. The County is expected to take delivery of the electric vans at the beginning of the fourth quarter this year.

California leads the US in electric vehicle market share, with the majority of EV registrations concentrated in San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Northern California regions of San Francisco and the Silicon Valley, where Santa Clara County is located. Driving EV adoption in the state are the financial incentives offered by state agencies and public utility grants. What's more, California, in tandem with Oregon, Washington State, and parts of British Columbia, Canada, are increasing the installation of fast charging stations along what is being dubbed the "Electric Highway" where fast-charging stations are placed every 25 to 50 miles along Interstate 5 and State Route 99 freeways and other strategic transportation corridors. The implementation of fast-charging electric stations helps reduce driver range anxiety with EVs.

Driving to Net Zero, a Santa Clara County program, provides support for municipalities within the County who want to implement EV adoption as part of their infrastructure. "We're doing our part to help improve air quality and reduce our carbon footprint in the County" said Dennis Brooks, Fleet Manager for Santa Clara County. "By purchasing the Powered by ADOMANI® zero-emission, all-electric cargo vans, we are able to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels while lowering our total cost of vehicle ownership. Plus, it's a way to help reduce greenhouse gases and help improve the air quality for County residents."

ADOMANI recently showcased their zero-emission all-electric van to an international audience in April at the ACT Expo in Long Beach, California. The electric logistic vans are part of its portfolio of zero-emission vehicles that include the class 3 and 4 cutaway, class 3 to 5 cab and chassis truck that can easily be configured to meet most business applications, and their newest addition, the low-speed all-electric neighborhood electric vehicle, NEV.

"Our zero-emission vehicles are perfect for a variety of business solutions across multiple industries," said Jim Reynolds, President and CEO of ADOMANI. "The all-electric vans that Santa Clara ordered is perfect for last mile logistics organizations, municipalities, education districts and campuses, and other industries looking to lower their total cost of vehicle ownership while reducing their carbon footprint. We believe our ability to deliver all-electric vans, trucks and cutaways that meet customer expectations for quality and delivery timeframes gives ADOMANI a competitive edge in the commercial EV space," Reynolds concluded.

The growth in electric vehicle adoption, available funding incentives for EV purchases, and consumer demand for fuel efficient and environmentally friendly transportation solutions may all be drivers for future EV sales. Electric vehicle sales in California for 2018 increased by 62% over the previous year. With a significant portion of approximately $800 million available incentives for the purchase of zero-emission trucks, vans, and buses in the state, more businesses can afford to make the transition to all-electric vehicles that help lower their total cost of ownership while helping California meet its greenhouse gas reduction goals.

ADOMANI, Inc. is a provider of zero-emission electric and hybrid drivetrain systems for integration in new school buses and medium to heavy-duty commercial fleet vehicles, as well as re-power conversion kits for the replacement of drivetrain systems in combustion-powered vehicles. ADOMANI is also a provider of new zero-emission electric and hybrid vehicles focused on reducing the total cost of vehicle ownership, and helps fleet operators unlock the benefits of green technology and address the challenges of traditional fuel price cost instability and local, state and federal environmental regulatory compliance.
