NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / March 19, 2019 / Pomerantz LLP announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed against Micron Technology, Inc. ("Micron" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: MU) and certain of its officers and directors. The class action, filed in United States District Court, Southern District of New York, and indexed under 19-cv-02136, is on behalf of a class consisting of all persons and entities, other than Defendants and their affiliates, who purchased or otherwise acquired Micron securities between September 26, 2017 and November 19, 2018, inclusive (the "Class Period"), seeking to pursue remedies under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (the "Exchange Act").

If you are a shareholder who purchased Micron securities during the class period, you have until March 25, 2019, to ask the Court to appoint you as Lead Plaintiff for the class. Micron purports to sell high-performance memory and storage technologies, including dynamic random access memory or "DRAM".

The complaint alleges that throughout the Class Period, Defendants made materially false and misleading statements regarding the Company's business, operational and compliance policies. Specifically, Defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) the Company engaged in anti-competitive behavior, including artificially restricting supply growth of DRAM; (2) these anti-competitive efforts were reasonably likely to lead to regulatory scrutiny; (3) the Company's anti-competitive efforts artificially boosted its operating metrics; (4) as a result, the Company's financial performance, including revenue, was overstated; and (5) as a result of the foregoing, Defendants' positive statements about the Company's business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis.

On November 19, 2018, Financial Times reported that Chinese investigators said they had found 'massive evidence' of anti-competitive behavior" by Micron and two other companies. On this news, the Company's share price fell $2.61 per share, nearly 7%, to close at $36.83 per share on November 19, 2018, on unusually heavy trading volume.
