HENDERSON, NV / ACCESSWIRE / March 18, 2019 / Gartner predicts that by 2022, more than 80 % of enterprise IoT projects will include an AI component, up from only 10% today. The Internet of Things is beginning a long-term relationship with Artificial Intelligence. AI can help the IoT find key insights to increase its effectiveness in any number of ways. Venture capital funding of AI-focused IoT start-ups is growing and acquisitions of AI-focused IoT start-ups are on the rise. Major vendors of IoT platforms - Amazon, GE, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, PTC, and Salesforce - are integrating AI capabilities.

Finding ways to invest in this combination while maintaining significant upside for retail investors can be tough. However, one AI/IoT company we found that has significant upside is Gopher Protocol Inc. (GOPH). The company's patented self-learning and adaptive Integrated Circuit (IC) called the GopherInsight™, is GOPH's suite of mobile applications. Think IBM and Watson, GOPH just completed its initial testing of its MESH Radio system with satisfactory results. This comes on the heels of several positive system tests in the development of their potentially groundbreaking technology.

Today we are highlighting: Gopher Protocol Inc. (GOPH), Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC), Sierra Wireless, Inc. (SWIR), CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP), and Alarm.com Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALRM).

As mentioned above the successful communication testing of their MESH system is just the latest in a string of positive reports from Gopher Protocol Inc. (GOPH) (Market Cap: $103.064M; Share Price: $0.486). The recent test cleared GOPH for field testing outdoors. Other recent tests identified successful cognitive robotics features where robots were able to sense their environment by means of integrated sensors, location and computer vision. The company's AI artificial intelligence engine was successfully integrated into robots resulting in improvements in robots' perception and understanding of human activities and verbal communications.

In the IoT department, GOPH initiated testing multiple antenna types and configurations as part of the final phase of development for its mesh network gateway device. Antennas are a crucial part of any wireless system, being the central communicator between wireless clients, so this announcement was very promising.

At Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, Intel Corporation (INTC) (Market Cap: $244.322B; Share Price: $54.33) announced it "displayed – through new product announcements, partnerships and innovative customer use cases – how the cloud, devices and edge computing are fueling the network to transform and, in turn, unlock limitless opportunities across 5G."

Sierra Wireless, Inc. (SWIR) (Market Cap: $460.333M; Share Price: $12.72) announced that working with Motorola Solutions (MSI), SWIR's AirLink®in-vehicle routers for mission-critical LTE data sharing and communications in combination with Motorola Solutions' offerings, will allow police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel to securely share data while en route to or at the scene of an incident.

CalAmp Corp. (CAMP) (Market Cap: $395.811M; Share Price: $12.73) agreed to acquire Car Track, S.A. DE C.V., the exclusive licensee of LoJack® technology for the Mexican market. CAMP also acquired TRACKER, a LoJack licensee and market leader in SVR and telematics services across the United Kingdom.

Alarm.com Holdings, Inc. (ALRM) (Market Cap: $2.939B; Share Price: $60.99) announced their CFO, Steve Valenzuela, will participate and host one-on-one investor meetings at the following upcoming investor conferences: Raymond James 40th Annual Institutional Investors Conference and the 31st Annual Roth Conference.
