CORAL GABLES, FL / ACCESSWIRE / March 11, 2019 / The success of the tech stock market is directly correlated to the operating assumption that tech companies are prepared to meet the rising challenges presently facing society. As consumers, we expect innovative companies in the tech industry to design and manufacture products with our best interests at heart and, in turn, these are typically the companies we choose to invest our time and capital in. As we've seen in the first few months of 2019, the tech sector is booming with the excitement surrounding companies working on advanced technologies meant to take humanity into the future. ParcelPal Technology Inc (PTNYF) (PKG), Plug Power Inc (NASDAQ: PLUG), Leap Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: LPTX) and NantHealth Inc (NASDAQ: NH) represent 4 tech stocks on the rise on Monday.

ParcelPal Technology Inc (PTNYF) (PKG) is a technology-driven logistics company purposed with connecting consumers to the goods they love. The Company is determined to regulate its on-demand marketplace where customers can purchase what they need and have their goods delivered within an hour.

ParcelPal Technology Inc (PTNYF) (PKG) announced towards the tail-end of last month that Brian Storseth had joined the Company as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining the ParcelPal team, Mr. Storseth was a Member of Parliament for the electoral district of Westlock-St Paul for the Conservative Party of Canada for 9 years from 2006-2015. During his tenure as an MP, he served on committees for Aboriginal Affairs, Agriculture and Agri-food Canada.

Following the announcement, Kelly Abbot, President and CEO of ParcelPal Technology Inc (PTNYF) (PKG) said, ''Brian is an incredibly accomplished business leader and policy expert, having spent 9 years in Ottawa in the House of Commons. NantHealth Inc (NH) made headlines back in February when the Company shared details about its presentation of several posters at the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Genitourinary Cancers Symposium later in the month. NantHealth, in partnership with NantOmics, teamed together to explore the significance of RNA expression and individual biomarkers in determining why some patients do not respond to targeted cancer therapies based on DNA genomic profiling alone.

Following their presentation, Sandeep Reddy, Chief Medical Officer of NantHealth, said, ''while next-generation sequencing for advanced cancers has become routine, not all patients are responding to targeted treatments based solely on DNA genomic profiling. It is becoming clear that we must delve deeper into RNA expression, as well as identify key biomarkers, to develop effective cancer treatments and therapies.''
