Amazing Energy Appoints Tom Thornhill to Its Board of Directors
PLANO, TX / ACCESSWIRE / January 7, 2019 / Amazing Energy Oil and Gas Co. (OTCQX: AMAZ) ("Amazing", "Amazing Energy", or "the Company"), today announced that it has appointed Mr. Tom Thornhill to the Company's Board of Directors.
Mr. Thornhill is the founder and senior partner of Thornhill Law Firm, A PLC, based in Slidell, Louisiana. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University in 1974 and 1977 respectively, he earned a Master's Degree in petroleum engineering at Tulane University where he studied from 1980-1983. He has served the bar in the Louisiana State Bar Association House of Delegates and as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives District 76 from 1996 to 2000. In the Legislature, Mr. Thornhill served on the House Appropriations, Insurance and Retirement Committees, as well as the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget. He then retired from the Legislature to become the President of Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association and focus his efforts on his thriving legal and energy consulting practice. His practice includes resolving serious claims for individuals, companies, as well as governments. Mr. Thornhill was appointed to serve for seven years to try the explosion trial against BP, HESI and Trans Ocean, including three and a half months of daily trial on the merits. This complex class action trial yielded over $60 billion in payments by defendants from the trial and a judgment in favor of his clients, who included the interests of all five states on the Gulf of Mexico, many local governments in Louisiana, the United States of America, and over three hundred thousand companies and individuals damaged by the explosion.
