Deringer-Ney designs custom precious metal alloys and manufactures components for medical instruments and electronic devices. Applications for Deringer-Ney biocompatible alloys include parts used in pacemakers, radiopaque markers for cardiovascular procedures, intravascular medicine, sensors hand-held medical devices, and dental implants. Deringer-Ney is certified to the medical device quality management system ISO13485.

Dan Montone, Marketing Communications Manager at Deringer-Ney, says, "Our products are in literally millions of devices used worldwide including medical equipment, portable medical devices, semiconductor test equipment, military and aerospace systems, and many others. Deringer-Ney also supplies precious metal wire, strip, and ribbon in various diameters and thicknesses. You can learn more about our products by visiting our booth at MD&M Minneapolis. We're looking forward to seeing you there."

According to Dan, the Deringer-Ney Technical Team are leaders in the development of platinum group metal alloys. The team consists of research scientists, metallurgists, process engineers, and material technicians who are prepared to work with customers to meet the unique needs of critical applications. The materials developed by Deringer-Ney are formulated to provide a variety of different application-specific characteristics including low reactivity, biocompatibility, radiopacity, high mechanical strength, and low electrical resistance.

Their custom alloys include Paliney®, Neyoro®, and the Paliney® In Vivo series. These materials can be supplied as ultra-fine rod, wire, ribbon, and strip. They also produce custom components to customer prints from a broad range of manufacturing capabilities including precision stamping, cold forming, and cold heading, high-speed machining, wire forming, plastic injection molding, wire EDM, and component assembly. Some of Deringer-Ney's parts are so small, geometric features can only be seen through a microscope.

Dan explains, "Medical device manufacturers are demanding higher performing components that continue to decrease in physical size. At Deringer-Ney we are always refining existing processes and continually developing new processes and technologies to meet and exceed these market expectations."
