Partnership Provides Enterprises With Access to Multiple Blockchains Through a Single API Reducing Risk, Lowering Development Costs and Simplifying Portability

AUSTIN, TX / ACCESSWIRE / October 10, 2018 / Leading information technology company Windmill Enterprise, developer of the Cognida platform, today announced its latest partnership with OneLedger, a universal blockchain protocol enabling cross-ledger access through business modularization, to provide enterprises with access to multiple blockchains through a single API. As a result of this partnership, enterprises will realize lower development costs and streamlined facilitation of portability across multiple blockchains.

The Cognida platform, which integrates blockchain into its suite of enterprise security solutions, will establish a OneLedger API into the platform enabling Cognida enterprise customers to take advantage of OneLedger's interoperability across multiple blockchains. This enables enterprises to select from a choice of blockchain services.

"For enterprise customers, blockchain solutions are not one size fits all," said Michael Hathaway, CEO of Windmill Enterprise. "It all boils down to transaction cost, throughput, latency and reliability of a blockchain network. Different blockchains specialize in some of these areas. Through our partnership with OneLedger, enterprises will be able to easily select from a choice of blockchain services to meet their present needs, while having portability options in the future. In addition, this partnership combines the expertise of Windmill and OneLedger's teams to develop customized blockchain solutions for enterprise customers on existing blockchain networks."

The need for a blockchain interoperability solution stems from challenges faced by enterprises seeking to utilize blockchain to secure and connect to diverse and distributed digital assets. This includes legacy systems like automation and control systems, databases and file servers, as well as evolving greenfield applications and services. Through this partnership, enterprises can seamlessly connect their systems to appropriate blockchain networks, bypassing the development of custom APIs, saving both time and money.

"Windmill Enterprise has a wide reach on an enterprise level, and this would help OneLedger to establish more partnerships," said David Cao, CEO of OneLedger. "The experience and expertise of both the teams in their respective sectors will ensure that they help each other grow and solve important problems in the blockchain world."

Windmill's partnership with OneLedger comes shortly after the company announced its collaborative development alliance with Alternative Resource Group (ARG) for the development and deployment of an AR3 enterprise-class, blockchain-based microgrid power management and energy trading exchange platform utilizing the Cognida Network.
