Keynote Speaker: Carol Alt, Super Model, Actress, Author, and Entrepreneur

MELVILLE, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 10, 2018 / The Long Island Capital Alliance ("LICA"), Long Island's leading non-profit capital formation and business development organization, today announced the keynote speaker, presenting companies and investor panelists for its Technology Capital Forum to be held on Friday, September 14, 2018. The capital forum will feature presentations by companies which have connections to the Long Island region and are building businesses around dynamic and emerging technology innovations.

Six companies in the technology sector will present their business plans to an audience that will include venture capital firms, investment banks, private equity firms, and angel and high net worth investors. Each of the companies selected by LICA for presentation at the capital forum possesses innovative intellectual properties and processes leveraging technologies for software-as-a-service, cloud and secure mobile networking, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and social media marketing. A panel of investment professionals will review the presentations, offer their insights on the presenters' commercial viability and prospects for market success and provide expert commentary on investment conditions in the broader healthcare sector.

Carol Alt: After growing up on Long Island, Carol Alt became one of the most famous Super Models. During the 1980s, Carol appeared on over 500 magazine covers. She has been the face of ad campaigns for Diet Pepsi, General Motors, Cover Girl Cosmetics, Noxzema, Hanes, Givenchy, and numerous others. She was the first model to produce her own line of posters and calendars. She has appeared in a variety of films, written two books, was a contestant on the Celebrity Apprentice, founded Raw Essentials, a skin-care and beauty products line and, in 2013, joined the Fox News team with her own half-hour Saturday afternoon TV show, A Healthy You & Carol Alt, which covered her own experience and knowledge about wellness and longevity. Carol is also a technology entrepreneur, including as a member of the board of advisers of Just Rivals.

The panel will be moderated by Corey Massella, a partner at UHY, a leading national accounting firm, and the President of LICA. The following investment/industry professionals will participate in the investor panel at the Technology Capital Forum:

Mark Elenowitz: A member of the Board of Directors of LICA, Mr. Elenowitz is the CEO of TriPoint Global Equities, LLC and BANQ®, a leading electronic broker-dealer. He integrates a successful entrepreneurial background with extensive financial services and capital markets experience to advise clients on financings and acquisitions. Mr. Elenowitz is also Managing Director of TriPoint Capital Advisors, LLC. He is the recipient of several entrepreneurial awards and has been profiled in BusinessWeek and on CNBC.

Steven Perricone: Mr. Perricone is Founder and Managing Partner of Pilot Mountain Ventures, a New York-based venture capital firm focusing on seed stage investments in the technology and medical device fields. Portfolio companies in the New York area include Bond (acquired), Imperative, Kinetic, and Pinks & Greens among others. Prior to founding Pilot Mountain, Mr. Perricone co-founded Serrano Ventures where he remains a partner, served as a Managing Director in the Equity Derivatives area of Deutsche Bank, and was a Senior Consultant with Accenture.

Swatick Majumdar: Mr. Majumdar is Managing Director of Digital Entertainment Ventures, a startup and early-stage capital investment firm focused on companies that transform media and entertainment. He also is a co-founder of Survive and Thrive Today, a 3-day startup boot camp and media company. He has helped execute successful financings in Technology, Media and Telecommunication (TMT), Renewable Energy, Biotechnology and Medical devices sectors. He is an active advisor and mentor to start-ups, and serves as a board member at Easy Energy Systems, Rental Uncle and Global Path Capital.
