LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / November 8, 2017 / Automotive Recruiters are being retained in record numbers to target and recruit key executives at Auto Groups and Car Dealerships around the nation. With the Automotive Industry being highly competitive, top Auto Dealership Groups want the edge.

The Automotive Industry is very lucrative. According to the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), there were 16,708 new car dealer franchises that sold a record breaking 17.5 million vehicles last year. Total new vehicle sales topped $995 billion. These figures do not include the number of used car dealer locations and pre-owned car sales annually.

California leads the country with 1330 new car dealerships. Rounding out the remaining top spots are Texas (1171), Pennsylvania (867), Florida (860), New York (853) and Illinois, with 714 new car dealer locations.

All of this competition has led many dealerships wanting to top-grade to the best and brightest talent that will help add the most impact to their dealership top-line and bottom-line revenue.

The best place to recruit these high-level execs are from their closest competitors. New car franchised auto dealerships employ more than 1 million employees combined. Lots of targets for automotive recruiters to choose from.

Anna Goldstein, strategist with Automotive Executives, an automotive search firm that specializes in recruiting and representing top automotive executives, says "It's not only companies wanting to top-grade. We receive calls on a weekly basis from car dealerships and auto groups that have lost key executives to a competitor. They need to replace that lost individual quickly."

There are automotive executives for every major car and truck brand, both foreign and domestic. These key positions don't just stop at the C-Level, V-Level (operations, fixed ops, sales, marketing) and Director-Level (service, parts, collision). They also include Managerial-Level (general, service, parts, collision), as well as Individual Contributors and Advisors (sales, marketing, business development, service, parts, collision).

"We recently received a call from a Vice President of a large auto group," says Goldstein. "They wanted to confidentially and discretely replace one of their General Managers who wasn't performing. The VP wanted to make sure they found and a new GM, prior to letting the other one go."
