NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / December 22, 2016 / Bulldog Reporter is excited to announce the winners of the 2016 Bulldog Stars of PR Awards program. Forty-four honors have been awarded, including the two Grand Prize winners, to agencies and individuals who are performing outstanding work in the public relations and communication industry.

As with all Bulldog Awards, the Stars of PR program is judged by working and award-winning journalists, including a Pulitzer Prize winner. This year's judges come from a number of different media outlets including The Washington Post, USA Today and The Oregonian. The judging process is rigorous with each submission scored by at least three judges in the first round. Based on those scores, submissions with a score high enough moved on to the elite round, where they will be reviewed by another four judges and scored accordingly. Scoring for agencies is based on the following criteria: firm positioning, account retention, work environment, growth and new business development, improvement to society, and results achieved for their clients. The scoring for the awards recognizing individuals in the field are based on the following: leadership, integrity, breakthrough approaches, contributions to the profession, improvement to society, and results achieved. Winners are awarded either gold, silver, or bronze awards, and since they are assigned a numbered score, there may be more than one winner of each award. This year, forty-one Gold awards will be awarded based on unprecedented high scores.

All Bulldog Stars of PR Award winners receive the coveted framed award certificate. The Grand Prize Winner for the 2016 Communications Agency of the Year and the 2016 Communications Professional of the Year will be presented with a beautiful custom-made crystal bulldog award. This year the agency award goes to French/West/Vaughn and the individual award is given to Megan Driscoll from EvolveMKD.
