MIAMI, FL / ACCESSWIRE / July 13, 2015 / Tamarina Restaurant, a restaurant that is located in the middle of downtown Miami, is pleased to launch Amaro, Rum and Whiskey tastings. As a spokesperson for the Italian restaurant noted, the tastings will give people the opportunity to try some exceptional Whiskeys, Bourbons, Rums and Amari.

The Whiskey tasting event is called "Whisky versus Whiskey" and will focus on Old World and New World Scotch versus American producers. As the spokesperson for the restaurant noted, the American Whiskeys that will be profiled during the tasting are Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, Bib and Tucker 6 Year Bourbon and Willet 2 Year Rye. The Scotch Whiskys will be Glenfiddich 12 Year, Highland Park 12 Year and Laphroaig 10 Year.

The Rum and Amaro tastings will be equally delicious and memorable. For example, people can sample Clement V.S.O.P. Rhum Agricole Vieux, which is aged a minimum of four years in virgin Limousin barriques and re-charred Bourbon casks.

"Made from natural pressed sugarcane juice, it shows a deep vegetal quality and a long, woody finish," the spokesperson for the restaurant noted, adding that the Rum offers an exotic spice and dried fruit aroma on the nose with a body full of coconut and banana creme brulee.

"It finishes with charred sugarcane, pepper and minerality."

Patrons will also get to taste Clement V.S.O.P. Rhum Santa Teresa 1796 Ron Antigo de Solera Rum, which is an amazing blend of Rums ranging from 4 to 35 years, and Smith and Cross Navy Strength Rum, which is distilled in Jamaica and bottled in London.

"It starts off normally enough on the nose with some brandy and coffee notes but changes rapidly on the mid-palate," the spokesperson for Tamarina Restaurant said.

The Amaro tastings will feature CardAmaro, an all-natural Amaro that is one of only two wine-based Amari available in the United States market. Guests may also sample Amaro Nonino Quintessentia, which has been described as having an unmatched depth of character which balances sweetness, botanicals and complexity.

People will also have the opportunity to taste Varnelli Amaro Sibilla, a rare and unique Amaro that is the epitome of local and hand-crafted production techniques.

"A blend of herbs, roots and barks are rested in honey, all of which are sourced from the nearby Sibillini Mountains, and then the product is proofed and barrel aged for an undisclosed period of time," the spokesperson said.

"The resulting spirit has all of the dark bitter notes you would expect from a powerful Amaro laced with the sweetness of honey, tannin and citrus."
