WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESSWIRE / October 12, 2018 / On October 2, 2018, French police raided the pro-Iran pro-Hizbullah Centre Zahra France located in a suburb of the port city of Dunkerque. The center's assets were frozen by Paris; also frozen were the assets of Iranian Intelligence Ministry's Directorate of Internal Security, Iranian Deputy Intelligence Minister in charge of operations Saeid Hashemi Moghadam, and Iranian diplomat in Vienna Assadollah Asadi. The same day, searches were carried out at the homes of 12 members of the center, and weapons were found. The events followed a thwarted attack on a June 30, 2018 "Free Iran" rally held outside Paris by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

On October 3, MEMRI translated a clip of an address at the Centre Zahra Mosque by Shiite cleric Ali Talal who addressed the "accursed, criminal, and arrogant Zionists," saying said that "we won't rest" until Zionism is removed from all the land. During another sermon on May 15, Talal talked about Zionists being "the source of all disputes."
